Counseling When Navigating Change

All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.

Change brings its own psychic toll

Some of us get caught inside a change.

We get accustomed to our life, our habits and customs of living, and when change occurs it can throw us into disorder.

Moving to a new school or community; changes in relationship, job status, health, safety, or identity can impact us in significant ways.

When change occurs, it can undercut our integrity, capacity or character. We may feel emptied out or defeated, overwhelmed or numb.

Change brings its own psychic toll.
